W ASHINGTON D.C By: Lisa Johnston Digital story

G ETTYSBURG, P ENNSYLVANIA The first time I went to Washington D.C was during the summer of 4 th grade. My family drove by car so it took about nine hours to get there. We stayed at a hotel for the night.

G ETTYSBURG, P ENNSYLVANIA The next day, before we went to Washington D.C, we stopped at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Our family went on a tour about the how the Gettysburg war happened. We also to a museum and we watched a movie about the war.

W ASHINGTON D.C The next day, we, went to Washington D. C. We saw all kinds of cool places like the Washington Monument, The Lincoln Memorial, and the Capital Building. We also stopped by The White House

D.C I wanted to go inside, but Obama might have had a meeting or the security guards didn’t want us inside The White House. Later, I saw other security guards on the top of the White House. My dad said they were up there because they were making sure that nobody was going to do something bad. Later that day, we drove back home. I wish I could go to D.C again.
