HOW TO HELP A FRIEND

Friday night we had this party, right?

Well, there was some beer and stuff.

Some of my friends think it’s OK to drink beer or smoke weed.

He can’t even remember much about what happened. But my BEST friend got really sick.

I don’t want my friend to get mad at me. And I don’t want to get him in TROUBLE.

So what should I do? What if he really does have a problem? What if he really does have a problem?

How can I help?

Hey, I know!

Magruder has a STUDENT ASSISTANCE TEAM.

I can fill out this CONFIDENTIAL Concern Form

I don’t even have to sign it. Everything is TOTALLY CONFIDENTIAL!

Forms are in the Health Room, Media Center, and Guidance Office, or I can even download one from the MHS website!

I’ll put the form in an envelope, addressed to STUDENT ASSISTANCE, And mark it CONFIDENTIAL.

I can turn in the CONCERN FORM to the lock box in the Main Office, Media Center, or Health Office. Or I can give it to any Student Assistance Team member.

NO ONE ELSE in school will know about it. I’ll know I helped, but

IF YOU OR YOUR FRIENDS are using ALCOHOL OR OTHER DRUGS Student Assistance can help.

Your STUDENT ASSISTANCE Team: Mercedes Benas (Math) Lily Chen (Special Services) Hazel Edwards (Math) Dawn Fisher (Special Services) Jenny Foster Heller (Transition) Nancy Hollan (Health Room) Ed Hsu* (Math) Keith James (Safety and Security) Ben Johnson (Social Studies) Barbara Kingsbury (Special Services) Paul Klein (English) Zoraida Madelina Monterrosa* (ESOL) Ruth Ragsdale (Counseling Services) Delise Samms (Special Services) Pat Webster (Math) Judy Wheatley (English)
