New Audiences for New York In 2009 TDF established New Audiences for New York, a program aimed at creating partnerships with a wide range of New York based organizations to expand our efforts to make theatre accessible to every New Yorker.

We are now entering the fifth year of the program and our fourth year partnering with CUNY schools. We currently work with 6 different CUNY campuses. New Audiences at CUNY Baruch College Brooklyn College New York City College of Technology Hunter College Lehman College Queensborough College

New Audiences at CUNY Components of the program: Students or Staff Attend two productions (Broadway or Off Broadway) Participate in pre- and post- performance discussions for each show $25 / Ticket

Group Leader: Professor collaborates with a TDF-trained Teaching Artist to craft lesson plans that correspond to class curriculum. If it is a group outside of the classroom, an assigned Group Leader works with TA to design discussion content that is relevant to the group’s mission. New Audiences at CUNY

New Audiences is an opportunity for CUNY students and staff to build a relationship with TDF and the theatre community in NYC. We envision a partnership that empowers a wide- range of individuals in the CUNY community to take advantage of all the arts NYC has to offer.
