The Monitor 4000 Alarm provides the most cost effective, worry-free method of keeping backdoors secure during business hours…protecting your business, your employees and your bottom line.

The backdoor is closed and the alarm is armed. OR Authorized activity is taking place. OR A siren is sounding, notifying management that the backdoor is open without supervision. The Monitor Alarm is the tool managers need to get the results you want.

Siren Grill Control Key switch Standard Switch or Best replaceable core Switch Internal Access Lock Operating instructions Green Light Authorization indicator Red Light Door open indicator Digital Timer Toll free Tech support number printed on each alarm

Siren Volume switch System Enable switch Timer Switch 2 ½ min 5 min 10 min 20 min Battery Connection Panel All components are designed to be modular, so the end user can easily replace a part without the use of an expensive tradesman.

This unit has been strapped to simulate how The Monitor would control the backdoor. By closing the sensor circuit with a strap, the alarm box door will act as the backdoor for training or demonstration purposes.

Flashing Zero: Alarm is powered Door is armed Green Light: Ok to open door. Timer is counting Red Light: Door is open. Timer still counting Door is closed Zero is flashing, Alarm resets automaticall y Door is armed

To use the door, the manager must insert the Control Key and turn it to the right and hold it for about three seconds until the green light appears. The Alarmed Key Switch (AKS) will make a chirping sound whenever the control key is inserted, and will stop as soon as key is removed. This will alert staff that door is about to be opened, and also encourage manager to remove the key. “GREEN means GO.” If you have a green light, you can use the door. If you don’t have a green light, you cannot use the door without the siren sounding.

Once you have a green light the digital LED will begin its countdown from 0 to 8, and you can open the door. When the door is open, the red light will come on. The door must be closed before the counter reaches number 8, or the siren will sound. Anytime during the countdown more time can be obtained by turning the Key-switch, it will restart the counter at zero. ( chirping stops when key is removed) This reinforces supervision at regular intervals during extended deliveries. When the door is closed the red light will go out, the green light will go out and the flashing zero will return. The alarm automatically resets as soon as the door is closed.

Whenever someone opens the backdoor without a green light the siren will sound until an authorized person with the control key either: (a) approves activity, inserts control key, gets a green light and activates the timer. (b) does not approve activity, closes the door, and inserts control key to turn the siren off. This gives managers the immediate opportunity to discipline employees every time they do not follow the backdoor protocol. The backdoor will never be opened without manager knowledge. Managers will easily identify problem employees. Employees will quickly learn to stay away from the backdoor without authorization.

The backdoor should never be used as employee entrance or exit. Backdoor activity should be supervised at all times by management. Management should never leave their keys in the back office, or in the alarm, or hand off to staff. (Severe Disciplinary Action Suggested) The internal Access Key should be controlled by upper management only. (GM or higher) The backdoor should never be left unattended while propped open. Vendors should not have unsupervised access to your backdoor. Management should visually check outdoor safety conditions before authorizing the door to be opened via CCTV or wide angle viewer. (windows are not recommended) Back-Door Policies created by Loss Prevention Directors Nationwide

The backdoor is closed and the alarm is armed. OR Authorized activity is taking place. OR A siren is sounding, notifying management that the backdoor has been opened without authorization. The Monitor Alarm is the tool managers need to get the results you want. Many end users report 1-3 point reduction in cost of goods within 30 days. With the Monitor Alarm you can be sure that:

High Bias magnetic sensors guard against tampering. The unit does not interfere with existing lock devices. Mounts on wall not door. Single unit can be used to secure multiple doors by running sensors in series.
