Environmental reason Agriculture in Norway accounts for about 2 percent of annual GDP and only 3 percent of the land is cultivated — The leading crops were cereals particularly barley, wheat, and oats and potatoes. Norway is still a major fishing nation as it is close to the coast and thus uses it to the fullest and is self - sufficient in many agricultural products, but fruits, vegetables, and most grains are all imported. Agriculture and fishing remain heavily protected by the Norwegian government. Therefore we conclude by saying norway does not solely depend on agriculture as the soil there is very poor.
