It is our goal as teachers of English as a second language to equip our pupils with the language skills necessary for them to be able to succeed as adults in the 21 st century. Critical Thinking Information & Media Literacy Creativity Communication Contextual Learning

*reflect * analyze *interact * create * collaborate * use information tools *make judgments

If, in the schools

*pupils are exposed to varied teaching styles *teachers cater for different levels and different learning styles by using differential teaching methods.

*learners are exposed to authentic English in a variety of situations * the lessons are conducted in English

*schools have a meaningful, dynamic and up to date English department

*English teachers set up active English Centers and libraries

* teachers use the School File in order to be accountable and as part of raising professional standards

* teachers open their classrooms to peer observation

*counseling is used to the best advantage as an integral part of co-teaching and professional development.

*principals and teachers participate in ongoing development programs
