Background: Background to the project by a visit by outside speaker. We will look where Indian art comes from In small groups: What will the pupils get from the project?: Time: One lesson a week for 10 weeks, using additional lessons for research Making the art: The pupils will make several pieces of Indian art Henna, Ragoli Presentation: Final stage: Bringing all the art work together Evaluation:

Arts & Crafts: Rangoli patterns Henna Silk painting History & Culture: Introduction to India – followed up by research work in the classroom. PowerPoint presentation on Indian weddings by Visitor. Technology: Cooking Indian food in school. Food tasting by Visitor Wrexham? Geography: Research the discription of the country, the people, landmarks. Looking at a map of India Indian Flag work Maths: Learning how bog India is in comparison to the UK. Looking at shapes, patterns and symmetry in the Rangoli Patterns. ICT: Use the internet to research work. Use of PowerPoint to create slide fro presentations. Personal & Social Education: Working in a team. Develop self worth and confidence, accepting others, being creative, to know where you belong in the world. To be an independent learner and thinker.
