Progression :  You are to read the online copy of “How to Punctuate”  You are asked to copy the nine comma rules into your notebook and three new pieces of information that you did not already know about punctuation from this article.

Conference  You will share the vocabulary building strategies that you wrote in your notebook for “How To Improve Your Vocabulary”  You will be given the first seven pages of “High School Graduation” (Junior Great Books ) to test the strategy  You will share what they came up with and whether the strategy is one they will actually use and why.

Peer Share :  You will share your latest drafts of your writing piece. You will upload your draft to the Google drive so you may share with your group mates and receive feedback about your latest draft.

Composition  Begin writing your next draft in your notebook. If a new writing prompt has been delivered, you may use this time to prewrite, outline, or draft.

Reflection  Now that you have studied more about poetry, investigated some new poetry on your own, presented a short lesson on a poem of your own discovery, and generated some original poetry yourself, what is your impression of poetry now. Pull up your response from the beginning of the unit in your Google drive. What has changed in your perspective? What worked for you in this unit? What do you wish I had done differently? What about poetry from this unit do you still have trouble grasping?
