BREIG Scheme Outline 5  Part of CO2Sense’s Resource Efficiency programme to stimulate projects to reduce environmental impacts  Strictly for SMEs in Yorkshire and Humber region  Capital equipment purchases only  Outputs required, Substantial savings in:-  CO2 emissions through energy use  Raw material usage, land-filled waste etc.  Water consumption

BREIG Scheme Outline 6  3 Types of grant available:  Capital, the majority of the fund  Capped at £8,000, minimum grant £500  Not exceeding 20% of overall equipment cost  Consultancy, organised through the MAS network  Capped at £2,000  Not exceeding 50% of the overall cost  Training (funding of last resort)  Capped at £500 per company  Not exceeding 50% of the overall cost

Successful BREIG awards 7  Digital print machinery for fabrics, substantial savings in energy and water, considerable benefits in terms of sales potential and contribution to GVA  Voltage Optimisation equipment for factory site, between % reduction in electricity usage  Waste wood used to replace gas in factory heating, saves energy AND diverts waste from landfill  Combined heating and lighting efficiency projects  Renewable energy installations
