N ETWORKING U TILITIES T O K NOW nslookup ping tracert ipconfig

NSLOOKUP Program that looks up the ip address of a domain and also the domain of an ip address Try the following: nslookup nslookup

PING Ping is a network utility program that allows you to verify an IP Address exists and can accept requests. It also gives you a measurable result of how long it takes to receive a reply from the pinged server. Try: ping Pinging a domain name will also give you the IP address of the server

TRACERT Network utility program that tracks the route packets take from one computer to the destination computer. Also displays results of how long each hop takes from one router to the next. Try these: tracert tracert

IPCONFIG /ALL This command displays a lot of useful information about your computer by giving you all current TCP/IP configuration values. Try this: ipconfig /all
