WHAT RECYCLING CAN DO… Recycling one million laptops saves the energy equivalent to the electricity used by 3,657 U.S. homes in a year. 5 One metric ton of circuit boards can contain times as much gold and times as much copper as one metric ton of ore in the U.S. 6
