Rosshall Learning Community Feedback from P7s on their Hopes and Fears on the transition from primary to secondary

The Task P7s from the associated primaries; Cardonald, Craigton, Crookston Castle, Hillington and Sandwood Primaries took part in a lesson on the transition from primary to secondary All information collated from the individual schools informed the P7 visits from high school staff to the primaries so some fears have already been addressed All of the primary information has now been collated for a learning community perspective The following presentation gives a snapshot of our “soon to be” new S1’s hopes and fears of secondary school

Hopes for Subjects and Study Do well in lessons, tests and exams New and harder work Work won’t be too hard New different and interesting subjects and sports, (football team and more specialist art, etc) Learn to play a musical instrument Learn a different language Technology/woodwork Home economics

Hopes for Self Development Opportunities It will be enjoyable I will become more confident I will have more responsibility I will become successful
