Aapatsahaaya Foundation ® Sri Rakum School for Blind Objective:  To be part of the CTC (Connect to Community) activity of AFN  To be able to share life’s joys with our kith and kin  To spread the message of Togetherness and Oneness amongst the youth of today What did we TAKE AWAY:  We saw the many Hidden Shining GEMS of our Sacred Motherland  How much privileged we are that we are able to see things  We realized what it meant to live a COMPLETE LIFE

Aapatsahaaya Foundation ® Sri Rakum School for Blind More About the Visit  Date of Visit :  Place of Visit : Sri Rakum School for Blind  About the Place :The Rakum School at Devanahalli was established four years ago. Surrounded by quarries and 22 villages, this school's purpose is to provide schooling and support to the children of the local quarry workers and its stone-cutters. There are more than 300 children. 31 students live here as boarders.Children at this School are provided free day-schooling and all meals. All the expenses from the books to school uniforms are paid for by the organization. This school is now recognized under the State Government Act for Schools up till 10th std SSLC. There is a Goshala (cow shed) also and it is a home to about 30 cows and calves, donated by the public on various special occasions.  Run by : Acharya Sri Rakum
