How do we create a sense of urgency to change how we teach?

Integrate into current STEM lesson

Model Solution Fluency Defining the Issue “Students need 21 st Century Skills and I need to get through all my curriculum.” Discover “How can I include more 21 st Century Skills in my class?”  There are Users Among US – Lisa and Caleb and Erin  What are the Skills I am currently teaching that are “21 st Century Skills?”  How am I assessing the development of these skills?  What tools are available for me to use with my classes?  What are some of the impediments slowing me down?

Model Solution Fluency Dream  I wonder what would be a way I could…  I’ve thought it might be interesting to try this…  Wouldn’t it be cool to actually… Design  How could I make this a reality in my classroom?  What will I use to measure that the students have been successful?  What can I edit from my time with students to make space for this?

Model Solution Fluency Deliver  What resources do I need to have in place?  What can I record from today so that I can access this when I have another idea or more time?  How can I make this a reality today… next week?  Who else do I need to involve? Debrief  What did I gain from participating today?  What did I /my group accomplish today?  Where do I want to continue to grow?  What tools and resources do I need?  What further training do I need?
