Contributions Further explained and added to Hipparichus’s idea of epicycles. (Geocentric) – 80 Epicycles – Mercury, Venus, Sun, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn (Ptolemaic System) Wrote the Almagest text which is the only surviving comprehensive ancient treatise on astronomy.
