Love One Another

Alleluia, Christ is risen, He is risen indeed Alleluia And so we gather. In the name of the father…

Jesus commanded us to “Love one another as I have loved you”. So great was Christ’s love that he poured out his life on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins. God’s love for us never changes; it is like a circle without beginning or end which goes on for ever.

What did you hear in the Gospel today? Jesus wants us to love one another as much as he loves us. This means loving everyone. Jesus wants us to think about the unloved, the rejected and ignored. How could we make this happen in St Joseph’s?

Please come and collect a strip of paper. In class you can add your name and someone that you are going to help today. We will then join our chain together in a circle to remind us of God’s love for us, the love that we are going to share.

The response is sung, Lord hear our prayer. We pray for countries facing famine, flood, drought. Lord hear our prayer We pray for people who are poor and hungry. Lord hear our prayer We pray for all the needs and worries of others Lord hear our prayer

Knowing that our heavenly Father is listening, in the silence of our hearts let us share our unspoken prayers with him.

Loving Father May we faithfully follow Christ So that our love for you and each other May make us worthy to be called your children Grant this through Christ our Lord Amen
