Piloting Skill assessment Germany 3. February 2015 – 13. February 2015

15 participants in the age of 22 until 52. All participants are permanently unemployed people and are having multiple interposition barriers. The group is heterogeneous: people with learning difficulties, hygienic barriers, mental problems, deficient social competences und people with migration background.

Face to Face Interview After the allocation of the participants by the job center the actual condition of the individual participants is captured (by the anamnesis of the application form of QPS).

Holland Test The testing method Holland Test is generally suitable for people with no apprenticeship, for people who are planning to do a vocational training and for people without confinements. People with lower language abilities had big problems in filling in the questions. The answers are personal and the existing cognitive competences aren’t really checked.

Within our three-day Assessment –Center the competences of the participants are being observed and evaluated. Afterwards an extended feedback of the observations and results is carried out and the participants get a certificate. Observation

The teamwork shows the key qualifications very well but it requires a certain motivation from the participants which requires again a good preparation of the social workers. A statement should be interconnected with an online vocational test.

The tasks have been specially developed by social educators and teaching staff. During the 3-days assessment centre the following competences are monitored: mechanical skills/ fine motor skills ability to communicate teamwork willingness to learn/motivation ability to work under stress work organization language skills logical skills
