Highway Maps of Connecticut Interstate Highways: Connect between two or more states Auxiliary Highways: Connect between one or more Interstates Though parts of the Interstate Highway System in Connecticut were once tolled, no toll booths exist today. All tolls on I-95 were removed in 1985 after a runaway truck ran into a line of cars waiting at a booth, killing seven East-west highways are assigned even numbers and north- south highways are assigned odd numbers. Odd route numbers increase from west to east, and even-numbered routes increase from south to north
