 Dance is a great activity to use in physical education classes.  It’s a great cardio workout  Fun and different for students- a change of pace from regular exercises.

 When teaching dance in physical education you want to make sure you have good tools and technology to help make sure the students learn the best they can.

 Helps students visualize better (especially when learning new dances)  Good for demonstrations  You can hook your computer up to it for use of the internet.

 You can play music loud for students to hear  Great for using different types of C.Ds you need or you can even use the radio  You can hook up different devices up to it such as your iPod

 Great for use of the internet and can hook up to projector  Works just like a laptop/computer  Easy to use in the gym or classroom  Can get different types of apps for dancing (even nutrition and exercise)

 Excellent way to learn how much exercise you get in a class period  Easy for students to use  Great way to set goals for improvement each class.

 This is an app that you can get on your iPod, iPhone or iPad.  It contains over 26 rhythms for different types of dances.  It can count out the steps for you  Has a variable tempo/speed  Great for beginning dancers and advanced dancers.  This would be a great app to use when teaching dance to your class and students can use at home!
