The MFIF has the following roles:  Serving MSC in the 1X Network  Support standard Mobility Application Part (MAP) protocol  SIP Application Server in the IMS Network  Supports standard ISC interface, following architecture in X.S CSCF MSC MAP ISC 1X Network IMS Network MFIF
