“Playing It Safe” A Computer and Internet Safety Guide

Respect the Computer Area Keep foods, drinks, and candy (including gum) away from the computer area. Hardware, software, and accessories may not be removed from any computer. When you are finished, clean up the computer area, clear the place from papers or other items that should be thrown in the garbage, etc..

Why We Use the Internet The Internet is a tool that helps us learn, communicate, and solve problems. To quickly find information for our lessons, research projects, and other learning activities. To explore educational websites. To enhance our computer knowledge and skills.

Playing It Safe on the Internet Internet Safety Rules Only explore teacher approved sites. Do not give out personal information. Tell the teacher if you see something that is inappropriate or makes you feel uncomfortable.

Last, but not Least…… Computers and the Internet are a fun way of learning. So let’s remember to always play it safe and we will have lots of fun on our computers!!!!
