10 min: Silent Reading Tom Sawyer: –Today we will be discussing Chapters 1-5/6 –As you read, you may write down questions you have about the reading and sections you want to discuss as a class.

Warm-up: Discussion Day Using your own notes and/or book, complete the top portion of the Discussion Day handout.

Small Group Discussion/Activity Each person will ask one question to the table. How do the others in the book “see” Tom? –Complete the graphic organizer using evidence from the book.
