Welcome to Amplify ELA! We’re very excited to embark on a new journey with Amplify’s fully digital ELA curriculum – Three year pilot program – Project will extend into 7th and 8 th grades Mrs. Laura CharloffMs. Naomi Edwards 6 th Grade Instructors:

Amplify includes: Lessons and activities aligned to meet the rigor of Language Arts Florida Standards Evidence-based writing, close reading, vocabulary, and debating Integrated writing tools with daily writing activities Project based quests that use games to motivate students E-library with more than 600 texts Educational games that focus on spelling, vocabulary and grammar

Student Expectations Bring tablet to class each day fully charged. – The first time the student forgets his/her tablet he/she will receive a warning. – On the second offense the student will be assigned to the non- digital workbook. Students should read at least 20 minutes nightly from a book of choice from the Amplify e-library Outside of school, students are to use the tablets for school- approved educational purposes only: – Amplify – I-Ready – Noredink.com – Etc.
