Count nouns have two forms, singular and plural. ▶ ( 셀 수 있는 ) 가산 명사는 단수형과 복수형 두 가지가 있다. They can be used with numbers. ▶ 단수형과 복수형태의 셀 수 있는 명사는 수로 사용될 수 있다. Singular count nouns always take a determiner. ▶ 셀 수 있는 단수명사는 항상 한정사를 취한다. a/an/the + singular count form

Plural count nouns do not need a determiner. ▶ 가산 명사의 복수형에는 한정사가 필요하지 않다. - a number of /some/a lot of/ many/ (a) few/ several +plural form Singular count nouns take a singular verb and plural count nouns take a plural verb. ▶ 가산 명사의 단수형은 동사의 단수형을 취하고 복수형은 동사의 복수형을 취한다.

book → books school → schools class → classes watch → watches gas → gases dish → dishes fax → foxes photo → photos piano → pianos hero → heroes potato → potatoes ♣ You add ‘-s’ to form the plural of most nouns. ♣ You add ‘-es’ to nouns ending in ‘-ss’, ’-ch’, ’-s’, ’-sh’,or ‘-x’. ♣ Some nouns ending in ‘-o’ add ‘-s’, and some add ‘es’.
