The Process eXperience Architecture (PXA) Group of Indiana University assists IT teams in improving the user experience of their products and services through a variety of user-centered design and evaluation methods, including: Expert Reviews Information Architecture Reviews Design Critiques Prototypes and Mockups Focus Groups User Testing

Ask only one question at a time (and make sure it’s easy to understand)

Use appropriate format

Place label closer to input field

Indicate how to enter response

Clearly indicate required fields

Ensure validation is not distracting

Save/Cache Data

Provide helpful error messages

Provide ‘just-in-time’ instructions or tool tips (but only if they’re really needed)
