FACULTY RELATIONS Overview of the Changes to the UBC Faculty Agreement 1 Faculty Relations

Effective Dates All changes are effective on the date of ratification (January 1, 2011, as agreed to by UBC and the UBC Faculty Association), unless otherwise noted. 2 Faculty Relations

Previously Now Four Year Agreement (July 1, 2006 – June 30, 2010) Two Year Agreement (July 1, 2010 – June 30, 2011) Duration 3 Faculty Relations

Tenure & Promotion Reviews Everyone involved in review will consider: “Provisions of the collective agreement, Concepts of procedural fairness, Appropriate standards of excellence across and within faculties and disciplines” President must consider: “All relevant contextual factors”. 17 Faculty Relations
