Rely on God's Resources: His Provision Scripture Text: Philippians 4:10-19
Can God Provide? 18 They tested God in their heart by demanding the food they craved. 19 They spoke against God, saying, “Can God spread a table in the wilderness? 20 He struck the rock so that water gushed out and streams overflowed. Can he also give bread or provide meat for his people?” (Ps 78:18–20)
Philippians 4:19 “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”
Abraham said: God will provide… And Isaac said to his father Abraham, “My father!” And he said, “Here I am, my son.” He said, “Behold, the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?” 8 Abraham said, “God will provide for himself the lamb for a burnt offering, my son.” So they went both of them together. (Ge 22:7–8) So Abraham called the name of that place, “The Lord will provide”; as it is said to this day, “On the mount of the Lord it shall be provided.” (Ge 22:14)
