To achieve this, we needed to ensure that the application deployment time should not exceed one week with the ability to add new services within a matter of weeks rather than months.” Mr. N. S. Kalsi., Director cum Secretary, Sukhmani, Govt of Punjab Lokvani is a revelation as to how ICT can be streamlined at the grass root level for a vibrant and dynamic government to citizen (G2C) interface. It has unleashed a new way of life for the common man in Sitapur District of Uttar Pradesh by providing an online service delivery mechanism to redress their day-to-day grievances. The end-to-end, Web-enabled solution designed to implement this scheme has simplified the tasks of issuing job cards to rural households, identifying works to be undertaken, generating work estimates, work execution and wage payment. APREGS has currently been installed in all the 657 Mandal in the 13 districts of the state, where the scheme is being implemented.
