About NIOC Based out of Gurgaon, the Northern India Offroad Club (NIOC) came into being about 7 years ago with a common vision to introduce North India to a new sport- Four wheel (4x4) driving From beginning a small common interest group, the Club now has over 350 active members The club attracts people from all walks of life including women Our members would belong SEC A1 category. Based on their demographics, they would be regarded as thought and opinion leaders in the society Most of them in their professional lives are corporates, flourishing businessmen, leading entrepreneurs & self employed professionals Acquisition of a Jeep, for most of our members is a 2nd or 3rd vehicle at home. About NIOC Objectives of the club Promote restoration and preservation of vintage 4x4 vehicles Introduce people to offroading as sport Function as a common forum to discuss off-road driving techniques, maintenance of off-road vehicles, barter and sourcing of spare parts for 4x4 vehicles Organize offroading events (called OTR or Off the Road) where members and enthusiasts can experience off-road driving »NIOC regularly (every 2-3 weeks) organizes OTRs which are joined by members and enthusiasts
The annual monsoon 4x4 event of NIOC Organized in the morning of 26 th August in Gurgaon. Would culminate with lunch The event is non-completive and would be a platform to showcase vehicle and off-road driving capabilities The challenge will involve driving through sandy, muddy, slushy and rocky terrains apart from inclines and descents of various degrees. The entire trail would be about 36 kilometers including15 kilometers of off-road driving through Bandhwadi village near Gurgaon. Expecting 50 off-road capable vehicles (participation restricted to 50 vehicles) and about 150 enthusiasts to turn up for the event The event has been widely popularized on Facebook The event would generated interest in both the Print & TV media
