ť My Christmas (Mi Navidad)

The Christmas in our country Christmas in our country always start s on the first Advent Sunday. Advent is the time when we all start preparing to the Christmas day. We usually buy or make our Advent wreath. Advent wreath has all beautiful Christmas colours : red, blue, green, gold, silver and four candles. We light candles on every Sunday remaining to Christmas

The Christmas time In my family we always have some visitors. They come before Christmas, and go with us to see our decorated town!

21st December On that day I have my birthday. We always have my birthday visitors and then we do our Christmas tree and my dad kills the Christmas fish, in our country carp is typical.

24th December On thas day we all prepare to our Xmas dinner, which must be traditional: cabbage soup, fish (carp, salmon ),bobaľky ( frying dough with cabbage, nuts, or poppy seed ), roast meat, potato salad, steak, wafers, honey, garlic, apples. We always have a beautiful table with these meals and under the tablecloth we have some money for being wealthy. After preparing the table we go to cemetery with Christmas candles and wreath.

... Santa is coming.... When we go to cemetery, Santa or „Jezisko“ in Slovakia comes to our house. He comes through the window and leaves us presents under the Christmas tree. ( As you know Santa is only in our imagination. In our house our parents put presents under the tree and we have to wait for them ).

The magical night When we come home, we can see our presents under the tree and we wait for our family. However, first we eat the dinner and only then open the presents... It is magical night !

I wish to all people beautiful Christmas with their families ( Deseo a todos una feliz Navidad con sus familias) Lucia Kešeľová
