When shooting macro photography, it is important to remember that because of a shallow depth of field, clear focus is very important. Use of a tripod or other steady surface allows the camera to focus accurately!

With macro photography, you can (and should) take your time to get the composition precisely perfect. 1.Simplify your image as much as possible. 2.Fill as much of the frame as possible with your subject. 3.Over-compensate for sharp focus. 4.Experiment with various angles to find the most aesthetically pleasing. 5.Be very aware of the background (which will be out of focus) and eliminate anything that will be distracting.

 Choose a theme for your macro photos and put together 5 shots within that theme  Some theme suggestions can include:  Nature  Pets/animals  School “supplies”  Technology  Textures  Patterns  People  All photos should be editing using appropriate techniques to suit your theme best…be creative!
