PENALTIES AND FAIR USE

THE USE OF WORDS, MUSICAL SCORE, AND MULTIMEDIA

 If you wish to perform a musical work you might have ask the school if they already have permission to use it. At times schools are given permission from copyright holders to use it. Keep in mind that they all have to be appropriate and used for education purpose. MUSICAL SCORE

MULTIMEDIA

Teachers are often finding things on TV to show to the students. Most of the things on TV are protected. Like any other resources a teacher uses in a classroom, it must be presented correctly. To record a copy of what is on TV isn’t actually okay. So the correct thing to do is possibly find clips online from the source itself or ask the school if they have licensed copy of the program. Once it is done correctly, the teacher must provide the information of the program. TV

 A way to get permission to use certain things, you can online to ask for permission. There is a website that can help you do it or you can directly contact the author. I would double check at school to see if they have you need already. Sometimes the author or producer gives permission for schools to use. PERMISSION

Online has become a big source of information for teachers and students. On should always consider if the information provided is reliable. The web allows a lot of people to voice their opinion, so at times the information provided isn’t always accurate. Then there is also the importance that teachers actually use websites that are for education purpose and work well with their lesson plan. WEBSITE

 It is very hard to know these days what is appropriate to show in a classroom and how to go about it the right way. There is so many different amazing resources for teachers on the internet but it is important to give credit to the people who are putting up there. From quoting the author to providing a work cited for the students, it is very important for students to see an example. Then when it comes to multimedia, always double check with the school if permission has already been given and if not it is always possible to ask for permission. It is always better to be safe then sorry! DO THE RIGHT THING!
