Presentation transcript:

Why did “Texas Jack’s Wild West Show” hire him?

The “Texas Jack’s Wild West Show” hired him because in any good western show you need a good cowboy to run it and to lead the other people throughout the show. Will Rogers was a well-known cowboy through out the wild west so the show hired him.

The Wild West Show also hired him because he was a very handsome man that a lot of other men were very jealous of. Also he could get practically any girl he wanted which helped him become famous throughout his life.

The last and final reason that the show hired Will Rogers was because he was amazing with a lasso. He has a Guinness World Record for lassoing three lassos at once and then throwing them. One of the ropes would go around the neck of a horse, one would go around the rider of the horse, and one would go around the legs of the colt and tied it all up.

Other than acting, what other industries was he taking a part in?

Will Rogers was also a very successful person in the media industry. He wrote a total of six books and had of 4,000 newspaper columns. He tried to befriend the people of high authority but later wasn’t doing so because he believed that the U.S. government was making bad decisions.

He also traveled all around the world three times to visit people, covering wars, talking about peace and learning everything possible. He also traveled around the United States on different cattle drives.

Last, but not least, Will Rogers was a cowboy. Will was excellent with a lasso. He participated in many cattle drives, and he even had his own ranches in Oklahoma and California. He loved riding horseback, roping cows, and playing polo.

Why did he call Congress a “national joke factory”?

 Will Rogers called Congress as he saw them.

 Will felt that the Congress was making dumb decisions at that time.

 Will Rogers felt like they were making an embarrassment of the United States to the rest of the world.

What was the spoof campaign and why was Will Rogers an obvious candidate for it?

 The Spoof Campaign was a campaign to make fun of the government.

 Because he was a well known figure throughout the United States, Will was a better candidate.

 Will Rogers had a strong opinion and he was constantly bashing the Congress. He believed that every decision they made was incorrect and not beneficial.
