Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a sharp case against a deal in the works to limit Iran's nuclear ambitions during a speech to Congress Tuesday, instead pushing for a tougher approach. Netanyahu said such a deal will "guarantee" that Iran gets nuclear weapons because it allows the Islamic republic to keep much of its nuclear infrastructure in place. A big reason for the speech as noted by Netanyahu is that he has a "profound obligation" to speak about the dangers posed by Iran. The Israeli leader outlined the threats made by the Islamic republic against Israel. Obama, speaking at the White House, said, "as far as I can tell, there was nothing new" in Netanyahu's speech, adding, "the prime minister didn't offer any viable alternatives."

Almost 23 months after a pair of ghastly explosions at the Boston Marathon, opening statements will begin today in the trial of accused bomber Dzhokar Tsarnaev. Workers digging underneath a Paris supermarket made an unusual discovery: as many as 200 skeletons. The grocery store was doing some renovations in January and workers removing an underground wall discovered the bones. The area was apparently part of a cemetery for a hospital. The cemetery operated from the 12th century to around the 17th century. A Justice Department civil rights investigation has concluded that the Ferguson Police Department and the city's municipal court engaged in a "pattern and practice" of discrimination against African-Americans, targeting them disproportionately for traffic stops, use of force, and jail sentences. The probe is the result of an investigation ordered by Attorney General Eric Holder after the police shooting that killed Michael Brown last summer. Among the findings, from 2012 to 2014, 85% of people subject to vehicle stops by Ferguson police were African-American; 90% of those who received citations were black; and 93% of people arrested were black. This while 67% of the Ferguson population is black.
