Classroom Procedures: In accordance to our school policy, please follow the procedures to maximize below classroom productivity. 1. Remain in your assigned seat at all times unless you are given permission to move. 2. When my hand is in the air, you need to raise your hand, be quiet, and give me your full attention. 3. Turn in assignment(s) or notebook into the designated area by the tardy bell to receive full credit. 4. Hall Pass: Fill it out and raise it in the air. 5. Sharpen pencils by the tardy bell. Broken pencil during class? Raise it in the air. 7. Marked areas in the classroom may not be trespassed. 8. Eating or drinking (drinking bottled water is acceptable) after the tardy bell is prohibited unless there is a documented medical condition. 9. No whining! 10. No horse playing!
Academic Expectations: The following is a list of paramount academic expectations. Be ready to learn upon entering the classroom by sitting in your assigned seat and working on the posted bell ringer assignment. 2. Be prepared for class. You will need to have your textbook, notebooks (IAN and key), and writing utensil daily. Check our class website for PPt notes, handouts, and updates about our class. 3. Be respectful and dignified at all times by treating yourself, myself, and your classmates with respect and dignity. 4. Be responsible for your actions and academic success. 5. Be critical thinkers.
Laboratory Safety Procedures: Laboratory Safety Procedures: To ensure a successful laboratory experiment, please follow the following laboratory procedures. 1. Horse -playing will not be tolerated in the laboratory or during a laboratory experiment. 2. Laboratory equipment and/or material are not toys, do not play with them. 3. Follow instructions and wait until you are told to begin before starting any laboratory experiment. 4. Unassigned experiments should not be carried out and will not be tolerated. 5. Never eat or drink any thing in the laboratory without the instructor’s approval. 6. Wash your hands after every experiment. 7. Keep all books and other nonessential items away from the work area. 8. Keep your work area clean by disposing of waste materials in the appropriate containers. 9. Turn off any gas jets or any electrically operated equipment when you have completed the laboratory investigation. 10. Report all injuries or accidents to the instructor immediately. 11. Never use broken or cracked glassware. 12. Always wear shoes in the laboratory, sandals, open toe-shoes, and flip-flops are not recommended. 13. Tie back long hair and restrict any loose clothing. 14. Wear safety goggles, laboratory aprons, and gloves when instructed to do so. 15.Be vigilant of your experiment and the experiments around you.
