Year 9 France trip Rewarding hard working students 2012 Introduction Congratulations on being invited to visit France with us! The students selected to go on the trip have achieved high grades in French. The trip will take place in two months time and last for five days (Monday to Friday). The dates will be: 8th July – 13th July

Year 9 France trip Rewarding hard working students 2012 Travel On the Monday morning we will be travelling to France via the Eurostar. Students will need to arrive at school at 8:30 am to get on a coach which will take us to St Pancras international station where we will be catching the Eurostar. Parents should wait at the school gates on Friday for your children’s arrival at 4:30pm.

Year 9 France trip Rewarding hard working students 2012 Accommodation We will be staying at the Aloha hostel in Paris which is located in the centre of Paris and is very close to the Eiffel tower. We will be staying there for 4 nights. This will cost £ per student for the four nights. Students will be in rooms of 6 and will be able to decide who they would like to stay with at a later date. The hostel will provide breakfast every morning also.

We will have a disco in the evening FridayTravelling home There will also be some activities taking place in the evenings at the hostel such as French films being shown etc.

Year 9 France trip Rewarding hard working students 2012 What you should bring 4 days worth of clothing which should include: T shirts, leggings, shorts (but not too short!), sturdy shoes (We will be doing lots of walking) warm cardigans and jumpers, socks and underwear, pyjamas, clothes for the disco and a sunhat A raincoat in case it rains A lightweight backpack Toiletries ( toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel etc.) A towel Pens and a notebook A camera Mobile phones/ iPods will be permitted - as long as they stay in your bag A small amount of money in Euros (60-70?) for buying souvenirs etc.
