Ontario and California A strong and productive relationship already exists: –The Governor visited in May 2007 and the Premier will visit later this year –Approximately 55% of Canadian parent companies with a presence in California are based in Ontario. –Ontario accounts for 73% of the Canadian merchandise exports to California, and for 55% of the Canadian imports from California. –California is the second largest market for Ontario’s goods, and the seventh largest source of Ontario’s imports among US states.
