No Child Left Behind Application Set-Aside for Parental Involvement 1 percent of LEA’s Title I Allocation if over $500, percent of that amount goes to the schools.  Parent Workshops  Parent Resource Center  Parent-School Liaison (Home Visits)  Necessary transportation, meals, or childcare  Newsletters  Other parent training or assistive services {Section 1118(a)(3)(C)}

No Child Left Behind Application Set-Aside for Highly Qualified Teachers and Paraprofessionals Use funds to ensure that teachers and paraprofessionals meet the federal qualifications (Section 1119) At least 5 percent unless a lesser amount is needed Funds MAY be used for non-Title I staff in Targeted Assistance Title I schools AFTER Title I teachers are all highly qualified May NOT be used for non-Title I schools

No Child Left Behind Application Set-Aside for LEAs in Division Improvement May use funds for teachers throughout the district LEAs should examine the needs of all schools, not just those failing to meet AYP Address the professional development needs of the instructional staff serving the agency by committing to spend not less than 10 percent of the funds received by the LEA for each fiscal year in which the agency is identified for improvement {Section 1116(c)(7)(iii)} Schools in Corrective Action should not have their allocations reduced by more than 15 percent as a result of required set asides {Section 1116(b)(10)(D)}

No Child Left Behind Application Set-Aside for Title I Schools in School Improvement Schools in School Improvement must designate 10 percent for professional development and these funds can count toward the 10 percent division improvement set aside (if applicable). Funds carried over must still maintain these reservations.
