© Paradigm Publishing, Inc. 9 Objectives Create a Chart…continued  The Excel cells that you use to create the chart are surrounded by a blue border.  Below that border, the following message displays: “To resize chart data range, drag lower right corner of range.”  If you need to change the data range, position the mouse pointer on the bottom right corner of the border until the mouse pointer displays as a double-headed arrow pointing diagonally.  Hold down the left mouse button and then drag up, down, left, or right until the border is in the desired location.

© Paradigm Publishing, Inc. 10 Objectives Create a Chart…continued  Type the desired data in the Excel worksheet cells over the existing data.  To type data in the Excel worksheet, click in the desired cell, type the data, and then press the Tab key to make the next cell active.  Press Shift + Tab to make the previous cell active, or press the Enter key to make the cell below active.  As you type data in the Excel worksheet, the entries are reflected in the chart in the Word document.
