What would happen to Henry at the restaurant? A.He was not taken seriously. A.He was treated politely.

1.The owner looked down upon Henry when he noticed Henry’s appearance. 2. Answer the following questions.  What did the hostess feel when Henry came into the restaurant? How do you know? She felt very impatient and looked down upon Henry because of his poor appearance. “Why, look at him, he eats like a wolf.”

 How about Henry’s feeling after he finished eating and asked another one? He felt satisfied and full. That was a wonderful meal.

 Why were the owner and hostess shocked when they saw the million pound bank-note in Henry’ hand? Because they never thought that the bank- note belonged to such a person in rags.

 What made them trust that the bank- note was genuine? Mr. Clemens’ words. He said “Two notes in this amount have been issued by the Bank of England this year. No thief would want that to happen.”

 What can we learn from this story? 1.We shouldn’t judge people by appearance. 2.Money is everything in the capitalist society.
