What is the best price? By: Rose Moya
What is the price for the unit rate of the cost of strawberries ? The price for strawberries is 2/$4.00. if you divide $4.00 by the strawberries you can buy (which is 2), you would get $2.00 for every pack of strawberries you get. ($4.00/2= $2.00)
Brands of strawberries I am using the same brand, but a different size or amount of pounds(Dole). One pack has 2 pounds of strawberries and the other has 1 pound. If you want to find out which pack of strawberries is cheaper, you need to do the math. Let’s get started !
Prices of the strawberries When you divide $4.00 by 2 packs of strawberries, the price will be $2.00. When you divide the price by the pounds, you will figure out which is more affordable. (2 lb. pack)$4.00/2=$2.00/32 oz.= (1 lb. pack) $4.00/2=$2.00/16 oz.= The 2 lb. pack is cheaper because is rounded to 10.
