History of colour photography James Maxwell is deemed to be the inventor of colour photography In 1861 the first colour photo was shown This colour photo was based upon the additive mixture of colour stimuli (with three colour filters: red, green and blue). They were projected congruently. The Lumière brothers published the „Auto- chrome board“ in 1903 – they fabricated it already industrially. Colour photography awoke interest.
In 1936 the global distribution of colour photography was initated by Kodak and Agfa - there were multiplayered colour reversion movies In 1962 the „colour directly photo“ was invented (in less than a second you got a coloured photo- graphy)
