What was the Wilderness Road? Why was this road important? The Wilderness Road was a path that was cleared through the Cumberland Gap for wagons. The road was important because it allowed more settlers to cross the Applachian Mountains.

How did the end of the Civil War change life for most African Americans in the Southeast?

How did Native Americans in the Southeast use Natural Resources? Native Americans in the Southeast used natural resources in many ways. They used corn, beans, and other crops. Trees were used to make their homes and canoes. Wood, stones, and animal bones were used to make tools and weapons. Animals were used for food. Rivers were used or drinking, food, and transportation. Native Americans used natural resources for very carefully.
