What is Health? Textbook definition: The state of being free from illness or injury

What is Wellness? State of well-being Incorporates 7 different dimensions

7 Dimensions of Wellness Social Physical Emotional Spiritual Environmental Occupational Intellectual

Social Wellness refers to one's ability to interact with people around them good communications skills having meaningful relationships respecting yourself and others creating a support system

Are you engaged in healthy social wellness? Do I plan time to be with my family and friends? Do I enjoy the time I spend with others? Are my relationships with others positive and rewarding?

Physical involves aspects of life that are necessary to stay in top condition. physical activity/exercise healthy eating habits caring for minor illnesses

Are you engaged in the process of physical wellness? Do I get annual physical exams? Do I avoid using tobacco products? Do I get sufficient amount of sleep? Do I have an established exercise routine?

Emotional involves being attentive to your thoughts, feelings, behaviors, whether positive or negative Have an optimistic approach to live Express emotions appropriately Cope with stress in a healthy way
