Hormones Hormone – A chemical messenger used by the endocrine system. Many serve as neurotransmitters. Table 3.2 on page 81.

The Pituitary Gland The Pituitary Gland: “Master Gland!” Produces hormones influencing the secretions of all other endocrine glands. Secretes the hormone that influences growth. Attached to the Brain’s Hypothalamus.
