Lesson 4 “When You Are Gripped by Fear”

Finding God When You Need Him Most  Each lesson addresses a need common to us all  Each lesson is viewed in the light of a specific Psalm.

Psalm 46 1 God is our refuge and strength, *A very present help in trouble. 2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change And though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea; 3 Though its waters roar and foam, Though the mountains quake at its swelling pride. Selah.

"Come and See" (vs. 8) The word "see" not only means not only to see with the eye but to see with the "inward eye". It is asking the question "What is God up to?" What is His perspective?

"Be Still" (vs. 10) Stop! Knock it off! Get your hands off! Hold off! Surrender!
