Hello class and Mr. Pilkington. Today I will talk to you about my book called THE ZEBRA WALL. Hope you enjoy so lets get started.

The story takes place in a school, their house and also and takes place at the city’s hospital. It takes place in Canada Ontario the house the school the hospital

In this book there are many different characters. There is Mrs. and Mr. Vorlob Adine, Bernice, Carla, Dot, Effie, Zorro and aunt Irene. These are the mane characters in the story but there is also other characters like the doctor and the teacher but it doesn’t say there names in the story.

This story takes place in all parts of the day like in the morning the afternoon and at night to. In the story it is sunny a lot but sometimes it rains

The story begins like this, there is the family of the Vorlobs and they have a tradition which is that every child they get they name them in alphabetical order from a-z you can say. Mrs. Vorlob is having a baby and everyone knows or thinks it will just be like the rest of the kids, another girl that starts with the letter f. So Adine wasn't as excited since it was a girl because she thought she would be the same as all the other sisters.

So then the day the baby was going to be born, Adine called her mom to see how she was going and the mom said im fine and then later in the day when the mom came home at night and all the kids wanted to see the new baby and they all thought it was a baby.

In the conclusion of my story THE ZEBRA WALL the baby ends up being a boy and Adine was so happy to finally have a change in this family and then when dot asked Mrs. Vorlob what is the name of our new baby brother’s name and then the mom said the name of your brother is ………… Zorro and everybody said isn’t it supposed to have an f for the first letter but then the mom said since it’s a boy will start by Z and then will go down to A which is the opposite of what they usually did.

I liked this book because when people have a tradition they usually stick to it but in THE ZEBRA WALL they have a tradition but on the other hand they don’t stick to. I also like this book because it is full of surprises. This book makes me think about me and my cousin who are stuck with way more girls in the family than boys in the family. My favorite characters In the story were Adine and Zorro. I like Adine because in the story she is the leader of everything since she is the oldest of all and I like being the leader because you get

to decide and do most of the things and I like Zorro because he is a guy and so am i. there is one event that happens in my life that is the same and that is that my sister is the oldest kid in my family. Other books that I read from Kevin Henkes are Owen and Wimberley.

I recommend this book five star if you like to read books that are very hilarious and part of it is also a mystery book so I also recommend this book five stars if you like mystery books.
