Sales Analysis Monitor and Analyze Sales Performance

Introduction - Sales Analysis The Sales Analysis module in STRATIX provides the database, reports, and inquiry functions to plan, monitor, and analyze sales performance by a variety of criteria. A key component of this module is the Information Warehouse.

Information Warehouse Stores actual sales data. Maintained in separate database from transaction database. Composed of Enterprise Parameter Tables, Sales Analysis Change Tables, Sales Analysis Transaction Tables, and Sales Analysis Summary Tables. BenefitBenefit Transaction Database is not affected by the complex, processing- intensive features required for Sales Analysis, i.e. day-to-day activities of order management are separated from monthly analysis of sales performance.

Transactional Data vs. Information Warehouse

Structure of Information Warehouse Sales Analysis Change Tables Store day-to-day activities until “Update Sales Analysis" function is used. Temporary Table purged after Sales analysis Update Sales Analysis Transaction Tables Store information used to update Sales Analysis Summary Table when "Rebuild Sales Analysis“ is used. Sales Analysis Summary Tables Summary of data from Sales Analysis Change & Transaction Tables. Contain data for 37 periods (or complete 3-year cycle). Enterprise Parameter Tables

Update Sales Analysis Procedure The "Update Sales Analysis" procedure is a two-step procedure: Updates the Information Warehouse Enterprise Parameters Tables. Updates the Sales Analysis Transaction Tables and Sales Analysis Summary Tables.

Update Sales Analysis Function

Structure of Sales Analysis Summary Tables When Update Sales Analysis is used… When Rebuild Sales Analysis is used...

Rebuild Sales Analysis Process Use of Rebuild When key Enterprise Parameter information has been reclassified. Functionality of Rebuild Option provided to select a range of months for which reclassification is required. Two-step Procedure: Rebuilds Information Warehouse Enterprise Parameter Tables. Rebuilds Sales Analysis Summary Tables (using Sales Analysis Transaction Tables).

Rebuild Sales Analysis Function

Period Cycle Utility Maintains 37 months of data in Sales Analysis Summary Tables. Automatic End-of-month Procedure

Updating Sales Analysis Summary Tables with Budgets (Future) Sales Analysis Summary Tables keep Budgets for the current year. Budgets are prepared. Branch/Territory/Sales Type/PEP Budgets are imported and converted by Gateway. Sales Analysis Summary Tables are updated with new budgets by Budget Update Utility.
