New York  I was born in Bayside Queens NY, I moved out to Long Island with my family when I was three.  I visit New York several times a year. I love the people, the food, and the excitement of the city.  I grew up in a town called Center Moriches which is about sixty miles east of NYC.  I love to read, play sports (especially basketball), and I love to spend time with my family and friends.

University of Florida  I got my B.A. in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Florida.  Go Gators!!!

Rachel  My beautiful daughter Rachel was born on 01/08/2010, she was 9 lbs and 7 ounces when she was born.

Deaf Culture  My wife Jennifer is a Sign Language Interpreter for the Pinellas County Schools.  She is going to be taking her National Certification test for Interpreting very soon.  She is very active in the deaf community and as a result I am too (even though my signing leaves a lot to be desired).  I love audiology and seriously considered going into an AUD program.

Expectations for class  I look forward to learning more about hearing aids and assistive technology, and cochlear implants.  I hope to better understand, identify, and help the students I work with who may be deaf or hard of hearing.  I can’t wait to learn more about speech reading as I know some in the deaf community who are much more successful at it than others.
