Child Care Center Job Descriptions

Director Help establish the program’s philosophy, goals and objectives Supervise staff, conduct staff meetings, and oversee curriculum Keep current files on staff and students, per licensing regulations Be responsible for purchasing and maintaining supplies and equipment Be responsible for ensuring the safe environment for staff and children Communicate with parents regarding child and parenting methods

The Teacher Demonstrate initiative and enthusiasm Update educational training Maintain open communication with the director, parents, and staff Serve as a role model to children, parents, and other staff Develop lesson plans and room environment to foster learning Ensure the health and safety of children Use positive discipline techniques Supervise assistant child care teachers
